MACBOOK HELP!

sorry for making another thread and im prolly just retarded for buying a macbook in the place but besides that my macbook wont work unless its connected to the power cord does this mean i need a new battery or is there somehthing else wrong with it?

im no pro but its sure sounds like that if it will only work will plugged in that your in dire need of a new battery

Yeah it's your battery. It happens to me last week, I went to an apple store and they told me I had to buy a new battery. And now it works fine. But that battery is expensive 150$!!! I hope i won't need to change it soon!

well, this has nothing to do with the original thread but has to do with macbooks. im looking at buying a 15' macbook pro. when i go to checkout, there is options to upgrade lots of features. are any of them important, that i definently should upgrade. i don't wanna do them all obv, cuz that would be wayy to expensive, however if there was a couple hundred dollars worth of upgrades that would make my macbook pro significantly better then i would be fine with that. btw, i will be using this mainly for college and also for some occasional video editing and maybe some photoshopping too. but for the most part, this will be a college computer. thanks for the help

if you got apple care, they will give you another battery for free. if you didnt, its like 800$$$

haha this literally happened to me yesterday. I didnt have to buy a new battery, I just took out the battery, booted it without the battery, then shut it down, then put the battery back in, then booted and it was fine. The problem with mine was that i had tripled my ram and didnt put the plate on the back of my macbook on right so there was this minor bulge that wouldnt let my battery go in right......ya

you've got a problem with the firmware...just take it to an apple store and the will fix it for ya at no charge
