What binding should i get for my park skis?

i was thinking of buying afterbangs, and i was going to buy griffons for them, is that the best bindings for the afterbangs. Help me out, thanks newschoolers

If you really weigh 180 lbs. and you haven't broken your Griffons yet, you're not going hard.

Okay, well here is my opinion so I don't seem like a giant e-asshole.

If last year was your first year, the Griffons worked well. But as you progress they will not be the binder that you need. Even though bindings like the Griffon/PX12/ect. have DIN up to 12, it's not necessarily good to push them to their limit. If you plan on skiing park much long, upgrade to something with a MINIMUM DIN of 14, I suggest 16 if you're 180 pounds. I have Jesters and love them, I wouldn't take anything else at this point.

i looked up the griffons and it said rider weight 80-250 lbs.

Yes, for standard downhill skiing.
But for park skiing you'll be pushing your bindings much much harder than making wide turns down groomed runs.

Like I said, the Griffons worked great for your first year skiing park. But the more you progress the harder you will be pushing you equipment. And I don't think a mostly plastic binding like the Griffon will hold up in the long run.

I highly suggest the Jester or STH14/16 (preferably 16) as a park binding. Those are all basically bombproof and will most likely long outlast whatever skis you put them on.

dude you dont need a binding that goes up to 16 at all maybe 1% if that of the people on this site maybe do, save your self the money get some px12 or something in that range if your boots anywear between a 311 and 330 you shoulbe be a 8.5 any where above that an 8 so if you still want to crank it up to make sure you are locked in maybe go to a 10 ( and an 8.5/8 was calculated with you as a level 3 expert skier) dont listen to the majority of people on ns claiming how highr there dins are, yea the sht16 and jesters are really nice binding, acually awesom bindig but if i were you id save money and get some px12"s

i skied p10 at 8-8.5 for years pretty hard and never had a problem, thats what i was going on yes there heavy but my 10's were pretty bomb proof,

my final verdict

z12's i use them now at about an 8/8.5 one of the lightest bindings ive ever felt, never had a problem, and 150 bucks cheeper than sth 16

also give a look at the tyrolia peak 15's, or any of the rebranded peak 15's (amplid, 4frnt, head, fischer, etc) they are great bindings and i havent really ever heard much bad about them. thats what im riding on my thalls this year.

normally I would say, "if you have griffons already why buy new ones?" But in this case, I say, if you like you griffons get the jesters, they will work better based on your height and weight, and they will be similar to the griffons.

minmum din req of 14 but i would go to a 16, i am 195 6'5 and i ride a Rossi 140 SAS2 TI's, I like them but I am getting Jesters for sure next.
