A quick word on blocking ads

Alright so my question is on frames ... just started skating so my knowledge of terminology and the different equipment is going through a learning curve.
So I know there are regular frames and anti rocker frames. But I keep seeing the frames that seem to be just 2 wheels (1 in the front and 1 in the back) with nothing between. Simplistically it looks like a ^ with a wheel at either end. What kind of frame is this? I'm guessing it's for sliding wide ledges and rails?
