Frames

I'm thinking something along the lines of this ... are these just anti rocker

Those are freestyle frames. I personally wouldn't suggest them to anyone if they're starting out, gives you a messier style and you don't have to learn how to lock onto things well because the frames just do it for you. But that's just my opinion, heh.

Ok cool. I wasn't thinking of getting them was just curious as to what they were. I have regular frames as of now, and they are holding out fine. A kid at the park suggested I should pick up some anti-rockers; but I haven't hit anything wide enough to need them and I'm getting pretty confortable on 4 wheels ...

Are there any serious differences between regular and anti-rocker frames that I should consider?

Most frames are regular/antirocker and they just work better for one or the other. If you're learning well on a flat setup I'd suggest keeping with it, not everyone can skate flat but it's great if you can. There's some frames that are better suited to, or designed for riding flat, like 50/50 cores. But all in all they're all simmilar frames.

I have those frames in the picture. I've had them since the company first started and have kept getting them every time i needed new frames. Personally I don't think I ever want to skate anything different. What he's saying about not being able to lock in as good if you're just starting out may be true, but not brag, I'm good at skating at this point; since I started in like 2001. But i could skate any frame or setup for that matter and still be able to do he same stuff. But I guess it's not for everyone, if you ever get a chance to try them, go for, if you like the: get some.
