Hello fellow NS'ers. I found out yesterday that the highly anticipated annual Skullcandy Rail Jam in my hometown of Christchurch, New Zealand is this year...snowboard only.
This was looking to be a fun opportunity to show off our sport in the central city. However now we have, as skiers, been shut out. Last year, skiers and boarders competed alongside one another with no troubles. There is no real reason why we should be stopped from entering, especially seeing as Christchurch is made up of far more skiers than boarders.
So, to help me and my fellow jibbers here in Christchurch, please visit this facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/event.php?eid=129014996936&ref=mf ) and make some comment along the lines of " It's lame how skiers cant enter this year" etc. (If we get abusive/hateful we probably have less chance of getting in, so please try to be polite rather than abusive) The aim of this is to get the guy in charge (page creator) to see that there are many people who are keen for skiing to be a part of the event. If enough of us visit the page and comment then hopefully they will let us skiers compete again this year.
