Ipod help?

so i got an ipod about two years ago, and i bought a two year protection plan basically if it breaks i get a 150dollar credit to bestbuy, the plan is up at the end of the month. so my question is any way to break the thing so i can get a new one?

Don't break it. They will charge you something no matter what.

check out what the warranty actually says

if you are allowed to claim that it broke when you dropped it, just drop from increasing heights until the screen cracks or something happens with the harddrive. and it may work until the battery dies, but then wont charge or give any sign of life so leave it playing.

i threw my ipod on the ground until it broke so i could get a new one, took it in and they told me they didnt cover it because it had damage on the outside.. i got a new ipod and it stopped working i took it in and they said they didnt cover water damage (from skiing). i wouldnt do anything to it... not as easy to get a new one as it used to be.

the plan covers anything, except the screen, and h2o damage, last time i brought it in the lady at best buy was a bitch and i had to proove that my older one wouldnt turn on

what model, cause i know the ones with chrome back like the nano will split apart pretty easily. unhook a couple battery wires or HD wires and then just find out what you did to it. might not charge, might not hold battery, might not upload songs. something of that sort. and make sure your still in the warrenty range before you start anything. you dont wanna get there with a broken ipod and have them tell you that it only covers the first day of the month or something along those lines. O and like someone said above, you cant leave any signs of damage on the outside minus the scratching from normal usage

you could try power surging it.  Just connect it to something with too high a voltage (obviously without using the charger).
