Water ramps and skis breaking?

I have some ninthwards that are in pretty good condition. bases are really good and they're overall in pretty nice condition except the topsheets. they also have some good condition scratch bindings.
i was wondering if i should take them to water ramps. i was planning on using them as urban skis for the 09/10 season. will using them on water ramps (6 days) be really bad for the ski? like make them waterlogged or break them? or when i'm done will they still be all good?
thanks

i know someone who went to water ramps and broke like 8 pairs of skis. i dont know the condition of his skis to begin with but its something to think about.

more than anything, make sure you have good, strong leashes on your skis. i dove around in a lake for an hour searching for my skis last time i went ramping. as for skis breaking, there's always a chance it will happen. it's not uncommon for skis to break.

thanks.
can anyone tell me what you could do on the snow before water ramps, what you learned at the ramps, and what you were doing on the snow that season after the ramps?
All times are Eastern (-5)
