So I won a 55" Vizio TV......

I am in week 21 and I got an e-mail on the 16th of July saying....

Congratulations! You have been selected as one of week 21’s winners for the VIZIO Million Dollar Event! In order to receive your 55” TV, please fill out the attached form and email/fax back to me, along with a copy of your photo ID. Once you send in your forms, please wait for an email confirmation and a phone call from our trucking company to set up the delivery time. I will contact you if the forms do not arrive, or do not arrive complete. You must respond within 15 days of this email to be eligible.

Sent the form in yesterday which is like 16-17 days. Not sure if they count business days or just 15 days.  15 business days would be 3 weeks which would mean i am straight. But I definitely mailed it in on the 16th or 17th day, depending on if you count from the day I got the e-mail

The TV is worth $2000 and I gotta pay 6% sales tax on it ( $150) if I win it.

I am wondering wtf I should do with it. Sell it, buy a smaller t.v. and book a trip out west with the rest....or what. I mean $2000 is a lot of T.V.

Or just sell the T.V. and continue to use my current t.v. until it dies, and put the money in to my investments.

55 inch tvs are bad ass, but if you are like me and don't watch a lot of tv it is pretty pointless.

If I in fact get the T.V. I am going to lookup the model number on the internet and see if I can get a review or two of it.

I know Samsung / Sharp make some of the best T.V.'s out. I currently have a 32" 4:3 old school T.V. , but the thing works fine. Sure it doesn't have that crisp ass HDTV image, we do have AT&T Uverse (tons of hdtv channels).

I am debating the whole ordeal.

If I win it, its a 55" 120hz LCD HDTV. Thats pretty damn good........and I don't think resale will be anything close to the $2000 MSRP. A 55" Samsung 120hz LCD HDTV would probably be more expensive then $2000 anyways.

I am contacting customer service tomorrow morning at 8 A.M pacific time zone to get the details.

Its kinda fucked up. I never thought I would win something this valuable. Like a $2000 T.V.....get real......

Why go in the Summer when you can go in the winter, ride a chairlift, and ski powder?  Or take a trip to South America.  I would go to SASS over Windell's any day.  Skiing in the Summer: pretty cool, skiing powder in the Summer: AWESOME

Pretty sure its this TV here. $1500 in the stores now. If I were to sell it, I would sell it for $1300.

And once you take that $2000 and tune it down to $1300, plus I pay $150 for taxes. Thats only $1150 profit.

And it is a bomb ass T.V. supposedly.......

8 A.M Pacific Time tomorrow I will know if this TV is mine or if Vizio are a bunch of pricks.

I talked with the lady who runs the sweepstakes at Vizio. Shes like nope this is literally free. They come to your house, and set it up for you, and thats it. You are given a form you have to claim on your 1099 taxes at the end of the year. Where I then claim the $2000 prize and pay taxes on it....

So yeah, S/H doesn't bother me...

I am anxious as fuck for this shit to arrive.

Oh yeah I would love to pimp a wall mount for this guy, but I don't know how much longer I am living at home.

I actually....plan on moving out this fall or winter. Either that or I will be driving a fucking ton to school / work.

I need to buy another stereo now. I have Klipsch home audio and stuff, but its already being used on my computer. And this TV deserves a dedicated stereo......
