I was just wondering, do you guys like the soundtracks to most ski movies? what would you most like to hear in ski movies in the future...types of music, specific artists, etc.....personally I think most ski movie soundtracks aren't too good, if you have seen Lame or Shakedown, I think their soundtracks are the hot shit

those movies are putting out a lot of change for those soundtracks. unfortunately many ski companies don't quite have the resources to legally get the music they would like, so they work with what they can get.

I absolutely love the soundtrack for Forward. All music was chill and not from mainstream artists. PBP usually has good soundtracks as well. goooo ski industry resources!

yeah, a mainstream soundtrack does cost alot...I was asking more about the types of music tthey use...I think that they use too much shitty hip hop and shitty music in general. i like how the music in snowboard movies ties together with the riding, and the riders personality...1242 did a good job though

Personally I'm a big fan of hip hop music that has a good beat and pretty hype. The only flaw to this music is that it makes the movie seem too hype and serious. No funny jibbing or goofing around in. I love movies that have some good talented parts witha good music choice and then a ton of funny extras. The snowboarding movies, After bang ('03) and Lame ('04) from Robot Food is what I'm talking about. Just a bunch of guys out having fun and they just happen to be good as hell haha. 1242 did a good job overall i would say in that department. I haven't seen it yet but apparently the Guatamalan (sp?) persuader is a good one too. plus it has tanner and pep in it so its gotta be good.

I think there is too much rap and hip hop in videos today, and the rap that's in the videos for the most part sucks. I'd like to see more Punk and Ska.

Ski Movie soundtracks are mostly last year's snowboard soundtracks. Plus the majority of the music sucks anyways.
I could create the greatest soundtrack alive.

how can you say shakedown has a better soundtrack than ski movies. Half the bands are the same as this years ski movies, and the rest are mediocre hip hop songs.

The majority of my music that I listen to on a regular basis comes from ski movies, or artists of songs in ski movies. I love the variety each movie brings to the table and it's just great music. I love the fact that it's mostly 'underground' stuff and not the mainstream music. It helps to expose us to a wider variety of artists.

i love ski movie music. they've opened me up to so many different bands i probably would never have heard about otherwise.

strode, i agree with you on the original jon edit (but i think the original tanner sucked - too much going on with all the frame splices). what's the name of that song (in the edit)?
