Go with Momentum for sure. I went for my first time this summer and it was the best experience. I loved it and I plan to go again next summer. The people are great, Whistler is beautiful and there is lots to do, coaches are amazing, and the skiing is fantastic. They have really great lanes and the lift line is nothing compared to one of the CoC lift lines since they share it with the public park kiddies. CoC does have two lift lines but the one I am talking about takes at least 20 minutes to get through or more. You will have a lot of fun if you go to Momentum at night and what not. But if you want more info, I would be happy to give you details about the camp so just PM me! Hope that helps girly!

I went to CoC this year and it was really sick, but the lift line does suck, so Momentum has CoC beat in that aspect.  I'd say, go to where your favourite skiers are coaches because that really makes a difference, if you're stoked on your coach you'll be stoked to learn.

So which one of these (CoC, Windells, Momentum) have winter camps.

Because I don't think an Australian is gonna travel half around the world to ski summer slush while it's winter in Australia...

Very, very good point. Listen to him. While summer skiing here is awesome, it can't even come close to winter conditions. It can be really icy in the morning and then turn to complete slush mid-day. So I agree with that advice.

I haven't ever been to Windells, so I can't say how the skiing stacks up.  But I know that if you are also looking for a night life, then your going to have a lot more fun in Whistler.  Because your 20, you won't be able to go out to clubs or bars in the states, and you can in Canada.  Whis has a sick nightlife with lots of fun parties all the time, where as if you go to Mt. Hood I don't think the party scene in Government camp is comparable.  Definitely look into either Camp of Champions or Momentum.  Both have great terrain, and off mountain facilities, coaches, and they are in Whistler!

i think its just windells that does winter camp. No coc or momentum camps. But why camp in the winter? Public parks are going to be better.

yeah i am looking for like freestyle coaching. want to progress heaps! dono wot else to do part from  a camp? or is there like all season long programs u can join as i may do a season in the northern hemisphere somewhere/.

NS is so cought up in hypes, that people can't get over this CoC-Momentum shit, and blatantly ignore they are summer camps while this person is looking for a winter camp.

I know that Access Trips (www.accesstrips) have very good camps in North America, Switzeralnd and Japan, with very good coaching. The downside is they are very expensive.

If you go to Demonium (www.demonium-mc.com) in April or December, you won't be disappointed. Great coaching, awesome people, messed up nightlife, very cheap. This is in the French-speaking part of Switzerland though. But the people who run it and the coaches (including Mikael Deschenaux) speak English just fine.

The Girlie Camps (www.girliecamps.com) are another idea. They have several camp locations I think... I don't know where they will be next year..

If you want to do a season somewhere, many resorts have a freestyle ski coaching program. At my home mountain in Laax, Switzerland, for example, you can sign up for freestyle coaching every saturday, it's very low cost and very high quality coaching. I'm sure you can find this kind of thing at any mountain that is famous for it's park.

There are also very horrible "camps" where you do a whole season with coaching, they organize your whole season (for example: http://www.basecampgroup.com/skiing.html). They are designed to rip off British people (possible also Australian hahaha). They are very expensive and filled with gapers. If you want to do a season I don't think this is the way to go, you'd have a better time just going by yourself and meeting your own people. Hope that helps.

Yeah, lots of good info in his post. But if you are looking to stay all season, there are so many mountains that have freestyle programs that run all season for people who want to progress but preform at a competitive level. Knowing this, I am sure if you don't want to compete, you can still be in the programs offered and not have to worry about that pressure if it bothers you. I know of some good programs but they are in the Northeast of the U.S. and that is not a region you were looking for. But I would definitely check out those links the kid above provided. In google it might be good to search for mountains in the areas you are looking for then go to the resort homepage and see what they might have to offer for programs.

AWSC run out of Silver Star Canada, The Camp out of Mammoth USA or Niseko Japan

AWSC got me started on newschool skiing, now i've progressed a shitload! Also the best coaches out of Australia (our ski and snowboard pros). Highly recommended (if it still runs or will be running in the future)

because if you are a park rat then skiing in the summer is one of the most fun things you will ever do
