i only care about how they do in powder... ill be getting a park ski too. my dad dosent want me to get the hellbents for some reason... o.O... ive heard the hellbents are the best pow ski ever. how are this years obsethed?
i think on3p is super sick and everything and i understand that you were pretty set on k2
but consider the EP Pro!
ive ridden these for an entire season on everything; groomers, powder, crud, moguls, and ice, and the only thing they sucked at was ice. if you know how to carve at all you can carve these on groomers.
really they are so much fun
just throwing it out there, take it as you will...
if you want a real pow machine i.e. ultra fat, check out the jah love
demo some of those and choose which you feel most comfortable with.
personally i think the bents are too heavy, the EPs arent for big cliffs because too soft, but they butter like hell and are near symetrical and are fuggin light.
jj´s might be too narrow for pow skis and expensive, just like the args are too expensive.
the jah love might just be a little too fat
go for the caylors, decent price and good quality + dope design. stiff and light with bamboo core theyre good for charging and big cliffs
Skied the 189 Obsethed hard for a season and they bent right on the tip rocker, pissed me off! They are fun as hell in the pow, but like mentioned they chatter at mach speeds. They also had a tendency to bury underfoot when hitting cliffs, sending me flying forward which was annoying as well. They are very soft in my opinion and if you ski fast and weigh more than 180 lbs. i would steer towards a stiffer ski like the JJs for the pow or a 4frnt VCT for an all mtn. park/pow tool
i was kind of in the same boat. I ride original Seth Pistols now and I wanted a better pow ski. I was looking at Bent-Chetlers, Hellbents, JJs, S7s. I ultimate ended up with JJs. I was something a little stiffer than the pistols so i can charge more and something with camber underfoot and a rockered tip and tail. the 115 underfoot is perfect for me since i am pretty small. I dont think the hellbents wouldve handled as well overall. Just figure out what you really want to ride and how.
Yea I know, but what i meant is that the Bents are a softer, fatter ski more for skiing super deep pow, booters, and landing switch in pow, whereas the Obsethed are more meant as a big mountain charging ski.
i have 07/08 seths, the graphic is the guy throwing up. this is the first year that it had rocker, not when it first had the "obsethed" metal piece in 08/09 because i have those too. but the rocker is bigger on the 08/09's..
