How to become a foreign exchange student?

Im trying to go to sweden/norway, my school doesnt offer it (as far as I know), is there any other way to get it done? I think first semester of senior year would be killer to spend in like, Oslo, shredding the gnar, banging the gnarlier

idk man. maybe try an organization outside your school. my cousin is from sweden and they wouldn't let him host him as a foreign exchange student because we're related which was really gay. norway and sweden are both sick, i've been to both about six times now. you won't regret it man, good luck!

programs are offered out of school as well, like you still go to school but it doesn't have to be thru yours...
you can check online, and your school should be able to give you info about how to get into it even if they dont offer the programs. rotary exchange is one program you can look into? I know my town is really into that one. but you can just look online also, some of the exchanges cost shitloads of money tho

I've heard some good stuff about the rotary exchanges. i have a friend who is heading to germany for a year through them.
I have also heard that YFU (youth for inderstanding) is good, but i don't actually know someone who has gone on one of their exchanges
I know for a lot of these programs you need to apply at least a year ahead of time.

yea forgot to say that... if your planning to go this fall rotary might not work. you normally have to apply about a year ahead. its a good program tho and they pay alot of the fees so even if you dont have that much money you can still go.

her.

she was an ambassador to england, got to travel everywhere in the entire united kingdom, and pretty much lived a "college" lifestyle. she had no complaints and said is was the best experience of her life. i had another friend go to fiji and she never wanted to come home.

pretty much. you should def check out the website and do what you need to do to get enrolled or whatever. it looks incredible on your resume too!

Check out AFS, I had two kids come stay with me, one from NZ and one from Germany.  Its a way sick program...  Not sure if your in HS or college yet but check it out.
