Me and my friends having been playing games such as Counter-Strike and Call of Duty all through High School and now that were all going off to College were looking for a new game to play, even if it hasn't come out yet. Please some suggestions

-the orange box is one heck of a deal (hl2+episodes1&2, portal, and team fortress 2)... of course there are hundreds of mods for the source engine, which means (almost) endless fun from the orange box. it's a shame any pc gamer NOT to own this title.

-crysis is alright but you need a beast of a rig to run it well, another good deal is the "Crysis: Maximum edition" which comes with crysis, crysis:warhead, and crysis wars (crysis online)

-i've heard left 4 dead is fun, L4D2 is coming out soon

-ive played warcraft 3 TFT online for almost 6 years now and its still good fun for me

-dawn of war 2 is another good online, competitive strategy game like WC3, and a new balancing patch is getting released tmrw that i'm pretty pumped to play

-F.E.A.R. has some pretty competitive online play, and a fun (and scary) single player campaign

-Bioshock is one of the best FPS's you'll ever play (great story, art direction, etc...)

All of these are games worth buying IMO (don't pirate the good games plz)

If you value your life/social life, don't buy World of Warcraft.  Srsly. 

I'd say SC2 or Diablo III look sick.  I'm so excited, so sad they don't come out til like forever.  Regular Starcraft is still fun, as is diablo if you've never played.

that is actually one thing blizzard DOES NOT do.

the reason their games take so long to be released is because they like to release a polished product (for both single player and online play). They make sure their online play is slick and balanced (THIS takes the longest time, I bet SC2 is "finished", they're probably spending most of their time ironing out bugs and balance issues for online play).

Think of how much money blizzard has made over the past few years from WoW alone..... if Starcraft 2 and Diablo III aren't the best games EVER.... i will be very dissapointed.

Starcraft 2. I've been waiting so long for this. I'm still addicted to the original 10 year old starcraft, so this one will hopefully be AMAZING. It's coming out in November as well so that's coming up quick! Who doesn't like epically huge battles of aliens versus humans versus animal things? And it makes you think too. Ahhhhhhh starcraft.
