anyone else experiencing abnormal weather around here or is it just Vancouver?
Some areas around here hit 44 fucking degrees today, thats 112 for all you americans

im from texas and im living down here all summer until i move back to vail

needless to say, you all need to stop whining...100+ is just what we do around here

oh, and we have no goddamned water, it's barely rained at all in like 3 months:

It's actually been abnormally cool this entire summer for me. It's probably only gotten to about 30 degrees max this summer. Mostly2 24-27 degrees. Quite comfortable for me.

And I live in Indiana, right outside of Cincinnati, OH.

Dude, for the past week its been hot as fuck and PURE humidity around NY. I palyed lacrosse in this last weekend, I couldn't breath. And you sweat soooooooooo much because the sweat won't evaporate so you just stay hot and sweat more

and when i use the AC in the car, the window fogs up on the outside because the cool air makes the hot, humid air outside condensate on the window and then i can't see shit. so either i use my windshield wipper like an idiot or i drive with no AC

lacrosse practice in high school was fucking awful, but we did it every day so stop whining

the weather where i grew up is one of the main reasons i love snow so much and moved to colorado as soon as i could

I'm stoked summer is finally here...or at least getting a taste of it. Not two months ago was there a thread where everyone was bitching about the rain and dreary weather we've been having. Though I guess snow people are only truly stoked when it's snowing.

They knew exactly what they were getting in to when they signed up. I don't feel sorry for people who put themselves in undesirable situations. They're doing something that some could see as necessary but it's not like they didn't train for months in order to be ready for those poor conditions.

OP: The entire West is above normal right now. Seattle is set to top out at 98 today, a record. Spokane has a forecasted high of 93. The ridge of high pressure is supposed to break down for Thursday and Friday but then restrengthen in time for the weekend.

no, predictions are for 101+ at seatac, which would be an all time high.

It is so fucking hot. See, places like here in the PNW are not used to hot-as-fuck weather, therefore we seldom have A/C and the like. Hot ass climates usually do. Because we do not, we bitch and moan (and enjoy it) and have shitty nights of sleep.

Not true. Places in the Pacific Northwest are used to heat. Look at the Columbia Basin. Look at the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area. The Columbia Basin is a desert. Spokane is on the desert/mountain transition zone. Seattle/Portland are not the only cities in the PNW. Spokane/CDA ALWAYS gets three or four heatwaves where we are in the mid-90s, pushing 100 degrees. Normally it's in the mid-upper 80s.

How many people in Seattle have basements? In Spokane if a house doesn't have a basement it's considered inferior/outdated. haha

As for the high today at Sea/Tac, I dunno, I was just quoting what I heard on the radio this morning in Spokane.

I was about to put an asterisk on what I said. Western washington/vancouver areas are not. Portland, Willamette valley, and east of the cascades: yea, sure. Routinely near or exceeding 100 in chelan, tri cities, wenatchee, blah blah.

We here in the far west dont really think of Idaho and spokane and shit when it comes to a comparable heat wave, because, well, it's a completely different climate; arid, usually quite a bit colder in the winter, hotter in the summer, bigger tstorms, etc, compared to our cloudy (except in the summer) and temperate shit.

Eh, it's nice to have summer finally be showing up here in the Northeast. It's been 60s and rainy so often this summer in VT, a few days of mid 80s is nice to see.

The humidity could step it down a notch or two though.

No, you're very right. Last winter was a testament to that. So was yesterday (tornado warning. I just find it strange that Seattle is forecasted to be warmer than Spokane. That only happens in the winter. haha
