I WANT TO YELL THIS OUT TO ALL GAME DESIGNERS OUT THERE - JUST MAKE A SKIING VIDEOGAME FOR US

I'm bored this summer, I will buy a game good enough.  Make it so by doing a  PS3 or XBox 360 version of ssx on tour, *cut out the snowboarding*, Give us fresh pow, open runs, groomed parks, rails that look realistic, and just give us a whole mountain to play on.  Jeez that would be amazing right now.  Such a market for it, I'm sure.

i Totaly agree with you but to big gaming market companys like ES and actavision were too much of a small market to try to sell to so no one will bother to make somthing with effort and qulity involved. im hoping the sport blows up and they put somthing out there we can all love and enjoy becasue face it were stuck with shitty games like shaun white snowboarding and ssx. I hope we make enough nose for the companys to notice and jump on the chance bceasue all of us would buy that shit hahaha.

But something needs to be certain for it to work: it must be fun for anybody to play.  it has to be high-def and realistic.  Ex. I don't skateboard, I suck, but I could play s.k.a.t.e  for hours, and therefor it's worth buying.  I think we are underestimating the market.

Yeah we need somthing like skate 2 becasue it relistic and good quality. Just somthing that almost everyone will enjoy so a little bit of everything from pow, park, race, whatever.

Even sooner: SSX iPhone, which will be the most unrealistic version of SSX yet. Sadly it will still be the most realistic skiing game on the iPhone.

i predict that Jib-Life will be one of the biggest disappointments in NS history...assuming it ever even comes out

SSX: On Tour + more realism = gold.

We can't cut out snowboarding, though.  The game would never sell.  Maybe we should petition to add skiing to the Shaun White game.

why does it matter if snowboarding is in it? just play as the skier character. snowboarding also opens up the game to a bigger buying audience, and it wont make a difference in the game

you have to rember that skate sells to non-skaters, because skateboarding is inherantly "cool" and "Badass." your average joey does not see park skiing that way

yo op my dad works for ea and he said that they are making one. ive talked to him about it multipul times. they're using skates engine so same graphics and gameplay.

ssx was always fun no matter how over the top it was, including 'on tour'

we need a game that's just like skate, where you can go shoot urban, hit big booters, ski the nastiest lines all in a sandbox/free-roaming environment, just throw the pro's in as challenges...just like in skate.

i've also always thought about using the same control mechanism as skate but with both the left and right stick as each one of your skis. hopefully something close to this comes out somewhat soon.

I say if Bobby Brown ends up winning this espy, or another skier emerges and makes a name bigger than the ski world (like Shaun White did with snowboarding) then before you know it our sport will boom. Whoever this iconic figure might be, you will start seeing "bobby brown skiing" or "Tom Wallisch Freestyle" or something along those line. Until the day that somebody becomes as big as the sport I dont see a realistic skiing game come into the works. It will just take time and we will be there before we know it...Shit we might even be in the Olympics next time, who can ask for more publicity than that.
