Double Flips off of Cannon Boxes?

Think they will become popular/done at all? Cannon boxes are in basically every big competition now a days, and it seems like the doubles could come to them next

the amount of air you get from a cannon box isnt as much as it would seem

yeah throwing a 630 off a cannon is not easy, it would have to be absurdly large for a double.

Take the 2nd or 3rd largest jump at hood, and put a corrugated pipe out the end. This exists in the Windell's park.

ya, still not as big as the average table people do doubles off of. and the above comment about setting a double off of a slippery surface is really true. spinning off of a cannon isnt that big of a deal, its flipping thats the problem. spinning a 630 off you pretty much throw a 7 on the average cannon. setting say a double misty off, you cant be a quarter way through your flip when you take off, where you can pretty much be in rotation the whole time spinning off.

yeah spinning off cannons aren't that hard cuz you just throw the spin and like barely tap the box but to do a double that would have to be like a 100 foot table and a huge box

cannon boxes are super hard to edge pressure on because you are going so fast, i can 450 off a urban down but could just 630 off the cannon at COC. way harder than it seems

I picture it exactly like the switch dub 9...., so essentially it'd be switch on, then 90 to dub backy, or dub lincoln to 90.

ya the only issue with that one is to set it you pretty much have to slip out, which means no pop. the forward one is do-able, just a shit load of risk involved, throw too hard too early and your slipping out forward.

Yeah.... I thought about that, but the one at Aspen Open felt like you could set things almost just like it was a jump. It didn't involve as much rail skill as it did just jumping. But cannon boxes where you would have to actually slide it like in either Refresh or Pretty Good would be so hard to set it.

someone should drag a box out into the BC and send a few into pow.
