Skiing makes me hate work.

I spent two winters bartending and skiing as much as possible in Colorado after college, this summer I moved to New Zealand for a season because I wanted to ski year-round. I saved a bunch of money before I came and planned on trying to find work but in my mind i "don't have time for work" because I just want to ski without responsibility. Now Im going to blow through all my savings probably and I couldn't care less. I only want to work just enough to be able to keep skiing my balls off.
To summarize, I only want just enough money to pay rent, eat, and ski as much as possible. Money is overrated.
If skiing has also completly taken over your life, please share below...

I feel you 100%, that is what I want, but my family frowns upon it, Its "Get a good job and settle down and have a family" thats not what I want right now, my plan is to get a degree while skiing throughout college then live a few year like yourself, bartending and whatnot and just ski and see if I can find a way to make money through the ski industry, whether skis, clothing, or whatever. All the while having a college degree to fall back on

I just sold two books I needed for school so that I can save to get new skis. Has skiing taken over my life? Fuck yes. I have to borrow books now when I have homework...

Haha nice, well i'm not one of the moochy type ski bums, I saved money so I can afford to do this somewhat while still paying off student loans and whatnot....Def deciding to start selling some things if i'm short on cash this winter as Im gonna need some new gear. I'd love to find work somehow in skiing but haven't really thought about how yet. I guess for now sacrificing a night life to work and keep the shred life is the way to go.
