just get an enhanced license it takes a couple hours  to get one

They dont advertize it and it makes it a lot harder but if you have your state issued birth cirtificate and 2 forms of photo id (licenses and school id or something) they let you go through.  The enhanced license is cheap and comes in a few weeks id buy it now though

I'm 99.9% sure that as of June 2009 you have to now have a passport.

we went over on friday and one of the guys i was with just had what i was saying and he got through no problem.  I would deffanatly reccomend getting the card but they will let you through from my experience.  Also we go through a podunk little stop thats just off 87/15 so that helps, (if anyone wants directions to that one its WAY faster let me know and ill post up a link to google maps on how to do it that way)
