BMW X3- Tanner did not split money

Sorry to burst your bubble, but despite what the NS article said, Tanner did not give any of the $15K to the other athletes. Before the event started they had all discussed the idea of splitting the money since the car was worth $40K by itself, but Tanner and Simon each said they would not split the 1st prize money if they won - the remaining 6 athletes were going to split if any of them won. This comes directly from several of the participating athletes.

It is super low brow to split prize money. Then everyone isn't worried as much about going big or going home because they arent gauranteed to go home with as much green if they finish first or last...
That would ruin every competition bc then it wouldnt be a competition...
There is nothing to win anymore since they are all going to win the same amount and it degrades the value of first place since it now has less meaning to it if they all get paid
