i get my wisdom teeth out in like 2 hours and i'm scared to death! yes, i know i'm a baby, but i've never had to go thru something like this! accckkk...wish me luck :)

it's not too bad. they hook you up with some vikes or something.

oh but like a week and a half after i got mine taken out i went to the movies and i tried t oeat popcorn. i thought i had one of the little shell things stuck in my teeth, and i pulled it out. it turned out that was one of my stitches and i started bleeding. not pimp.

I got valium a half hour before the operation and shit, I was so fearless then that I could have done the operation myself.  The Beatles wrote a song about it for a reason. 

Next thing I know I am in my bed, 6 hours later, with a mouth full of packing.

I proceeded to snap all of my stitches within days. I would take the Hydros they gave me and feel fine, so I would do stupid shit.  I broke 2 jumping over a chair, 2 while messing around on my friends Kona.

Its really not that bad.  I don' t even remember most of it, so it can't be bad right?  All I remember is everyone qouting all the funny shit i said after they drugged me up.  o and i remember watching the end of Titan AE  :)

brutal hommie. mine came out a week ago so i know what your feeling. but hey it only took a few days to get back to normal. the worst part is how they pry your jaw open.

I got my wisdom teeth pulled in booth camp. When they barely even num it. Then the next day i was diagnosed with strep throat, and 101 degree fever.  Also picture day. Not the best day of my life

take your pain killers when you're supposed to, actually blow them. it's much nicer haha. besides that just eat like jello and shit and you'll be fine. mine never even hurt and i was fine.

third and fourth days are the worst. save your high-grade painkillers for then. and eat a ton of smoothies. you get your fruit and they taste bomb

i did this and it didnt help, mine hurt for almost two weeks but i just kept shoveling the drugs down at some point they start to help alittle, hope you feel better soon.

I had mine out literally an hour ago and I'm so fucking high! life is so great right now, I love it. I can't feel the bottom of my face and I still took the t3s and holy this is great. I highly recommend everyone doing it. It made my day. No lie. I was practically dancing out of the place. Bleeding, drooling and dancing. I was going to make a thread to spread the joy and extinguish the fear but you already made one. I feel sorry for you though. Sounds like your doc wasn't as rad as mine.

I can't believe they gave you guys pain killers for After the operation.  It really wasn't that bad after the initial removal and they should knock you out for that.  So yeah save up the drugs for later if they give them to you cause you don't need em anyway.  at least i didn't...

well my cheeks aren't too swollen but since my bottom teeth were impacted horizontally my lower jaw feels like sglvknlnfisjklgnsln! so many meds to take and my family is driving me INSANE.


like i told someone..my jaw pain feels like i've been giving dome for 3 straight days,

Yeah they did... I did it for a research study though so it was a bit more painful. But still, the oxycodone wasn't entirely necessary.

Oh and for the general, no it's not needed but it made it a good experience rather than a bad one. I'm not good with needles and such so this made it painless and easy peasy. Everyone's experience is different. I'm drooling and bleeding now haha it's kinda entertaining.

Me too! I'm using a bag of frozen peas instead of an ice pack because it contours to your face better. I woke up from a nap with my pillow covered in blood. It's pretty grosss...

ewwww. nah i got popsicles and some of this bad ass life savers sherbet my aunt bought me. i can' even fit my mouth around anything right now because my jaw is so tight :(

When you can, gargle with warm salt water. It'll help the stitches heal up a lot faster.

not neccessarily. my doctor told me that after the first day icing doesn't really do anything. Whi,le everybody is different that didn't work for me.

anyways I got mine out about a month and a half ago. The first 3 days were the worst but once the swelling goes down its not too bad. Just live it up while you can and enjoy being a bum on the couch!

on a more serious note, go to wendy's and get a large frostie. then ice it and live off of frosties, smoothies, ice cream and popsicles until you recover. Hope you feel better

word to the wise, dont use a straw for a few weeks. that can give you "dry socket" or something like that, and it causes the dentist to have to re-open the holes and have them stitched again

i used a straw the whole time and didn't get dry socket. guess i just got lucky. hopefully you iced all day today, it'll help A LOT later on. after today it's kinda pointless though. just rest a lot and take your pain pills. or don't and sell them.

Instant mashed potatos (four cheese and garlic) was pretty much all I ate for the week after I got mine out...I lost at least 5 pounds before I could eat normally again
