Fabric online?

So basically the fabric stores around my area do not have any cool fabric colors. Has anyone ever ordered fabric online? Good places to get it online? helpppppp

just google to find a good store. look for one that sends free swatches of the fabric.

^just search on their site 'sweatshirt fabric'. But c'mon, there's gotta be a local fabric shop in your city somewhere.

Can anyone that has used this site tell me how thick this fabric is? and how accurate picture to actual fabric the color shown is?

i searhed sweatshirt fabric and there werent many colors and jersey (technical name for the fabric) doesnt have my colors either. Im looking for an electric blue, yellow or orange

jersey is just a type of knit and if you end up buying jersey online it could end up being really thin.
for hoodies, the best is if it's a medium weight it's a good choice because you'll know it'll be thick.

it doesn't really say the dimensions on this site.  how many yards do you recommend i buy for one tall hoodie?

Depends on how tall you want it, but from personal experience, 2 yards barely cut it for a tall hoodie. So I recommend getting 3 yards in total to be sure you have extra in case you make mistakes.

I got the 100% organic cotton from fabric.com and it is extremely thin. Plan on double layering it if you purchase it to make it more like a standard hoodie.

I am going to try an make a corduroy hoodie/ crewneck I think. Has anyone tried this?
