i dont know... i live in cincinnati and whenever the reds play the expos everyone is quiet for both national anthems, i hate people that sterotype other people jsut as much...

Stereotypes stereotypes.... tsk tsk. It happened to be one stupid Air National Guard guy who killed four Canadians, not the entire U.S. of A. Please don't hate us all for it... hate our government perhaps for not apologizing, or for fighting a war in the first place, but please don't stereotype us all into disrespectful Canadian-killers... I don't know about this national anthem issue, but we all know the saying; a few bad apples....

but really there are some dumb people in the world... no matter what country.
There was also a radio host in Detroit that was congradulating the fans because they booed the Canadain anthem. He was calling Toronto 'third world' and edge 102 'second rate' because they sent an email to him. haha edge 102 told all of their listeners to send this guy a piece of their mind.... he surrendered quickly.

yea what kami said, im so sick of people sterotyping all americans you are just as wrong as the few americans that act that way. so get over it and shut up i could sterotype the canadian population too but that wouldnt do anything

Thats pretty shitty, I would never disrespect a country by screwing around during their nat. anthem. Its probably just a little bit of tradition (ie ppl go to the game, see it happen and next time they feel comfortable doing it), or it could be that hockey fans are just disrespectful...in that respect. Maybe they dont mean to be disrespectful from a country vs. country standpoint, maybe they are just acting out a little anti (insert team name here) rivalry.

I can take a little bit of jazzing between countries, you yanks boo our anthom you, and you boo ours. But i think it was just disrepectfull for what the crowd at the detroit pistons game did, so shortly after the canadian soldiers had died. Im not stereotyping, we both make fun of each other, i'm just agreeing that was a complete lack of respect on the Detroit fans part.
