if you don't understand something, why not ask a question instead of acting like a pisshead.
aside from that, there is no real physical damage that can be caused by marijuana, other than i've heard it'll kill your brain cells, and lowers your sperm count. fact or not, who gives.
as for potency, you get higher/fucked faster on weed with a lower dose, than you do consuming alcohol. it's cheaper and more effective.
as for tripping, i've had very unpleasant experiences on pot, and i've hallucinated, and yeah it probably was laced, which is more reasons for it to be illegal, considering you can grow it at home, and throw whatever the heck you want into it.
"Alcohol may or may not cause long term health problems? No, it will cause long term health problems if you habitually get drunk...your liver and brain don't like it too much."
imperative word here being IF. yes more risks of health issues, but there's also a social stigma attached to alcoholism, as there isn't to pot smoking.
and the last thing you said didn't make much sense. either way, major corporations and the government would be stupid to legalize marijuana and not get a cut, but it's easier to grow pot than make moonshine. so even if it was legal people would still make it for free.
as for your paranoia comment: wouldn't it be wonderful, if the already dumb population decided to drive under this influence, of discomfort and paranoia, and possible low visisbilty.
it's dandy and all that certain people function more under the influence, but you have to consider there is a high risk that most people may smoke too much and get too fucked up. and i have been experienced to that several times. i've blacked out, i've forgotten events, been sick and the room was spinning, been completely cynical in a room full of my best friends, and i've sat for an hour measuring the distance between my forehead and skull while the rest of the world around me was neon and black. that's why pot's illegal. and not alcohol. i've never blacked out, nor have i had alcohol poisoning. on certain types of weed 6 hits is too intense, and 6 beers will get most people buzzed if anything. even at that, the highs/drunks don't even qualify as close in relations to experience.
i think it's rather naive to think that most people would be fine consuming pot regularly and going about regular tasks. i think also, as a drug it's more detrimental to personal lives, and finances than alcohol. that's just my opinion.
also, i don't know how they could protect people from driving high, like they do for driving drunk...so there's another factor.
why not just enjoy the fact that having pot is a slap on the wrist and enjoy it.
