Good point. But there are many canadians over 19 on this site too. Not me but still...
Another thing I just thought about... The only problems with weed like deaths and stuff comes from the illegal trade from lots of criminals, and people getting shit put in their stuff like laced things. If it was legalized lots of the shady problems would be eliminated and taxes would give governments lots of money. I think it's a society thing. The people who would speak out in protest and actually influence the governments are people who think that weed is bad bad bad bad. That it corrupts the youth and all. So it wouldn't look good for a government to suddenly encourage marijuana usage.
By allowing alcohol to be legal they can still say they discourage being drunk, hence "drink responsibly" being all over the place. Being high is being high, you aren't gonna smoke some weed without the intention of getting high. So in a way they are encouraging having a drink or two with friends, not being inebriated. If they legalized weed there is no excuse other than that they are allowing people to get high.
Damn I'm tired don't know if that made sense but I just went off on a thought... And I'm no alcoholic or daily-toker, just thinking of stuff.
