what if u took those wakeskis, waited for a wave to catch u, then rode the wave...

would probably work if you were towed in. but you cant just sit in the water until a wave comes then get up and ski it. I really want to do kite skiing. Like kite surfing but with some kind of sick water skies.

if u leaned back the wave would prop u up and by then ur skis would be on the surface on the wave and u could scream down the face but a tow would be nice, hell, if u leaned forward u could do a front flip to wavecatch

im guessing your not a surfer or have not be near the beach much but sitting there waiting for a wave and just standing up wouldnt work, you would mostly be under the water because there is not enough float on the skis to hold you up, and two you need to paddle into a wave before it gets to steep or you go over the falls,

tow in would be sick though.

you obviously dont live near the ocean. catching waves is hard enough on a shortboard. the bigger the wave, the faster it travels, the more you have to paddle. simple physics. also skis have a lot less surface area which means a lot less buoyancy. on top of that, there is no effective way to paddle or to pump if you somehow managed to catch a ave

and imo, it would look stupid to see a skier try to ride a wave like a surfer.
