Armada alpha 1 mounting

so i just got some armada alpha ones, and the factory reccommended is -2.5, but im considering mounting them at true center since im in minnesota and i really can't do much "all mountain" skiing.

opinions on this?

ALOT. Im there almost 95% of my minnesota riding. i also do some urban stuff and i dont wanna have my weight all messed up.

2.5 back doesn't matter for swing weight.  Think about it, your heel piece always ways much more than toe, your body weight is behind your boot midsole, etc., so from -1.5 to -2 I would say.  I guess center wouldn't be too bad on these like it is on many park skis, though, do they have equal tip and tail rocker?  I fondled a pair and now want to try them(but I can just use my LL2s in park when I want a rockered ski and PCs when I don't, so I won't buy them.)

2.5 Back will definitely make a difference for swing weight.  It will not be much, but it will be noticeable.  And the weight of the heel piece is not going to make a difference, it is so close to your foot that it will not be noticeable.  click into your ski and see if it tips back because your heel piece weighs more, it won't.

the main guys in Armadas crew do not have park skis mounted center.  It may make a small difference, but I still think -1.5 to -2.5 is best for anything except rails.  The farthest forward I was told about on PCs was -1.5 for Tanner, and -2 to -3 for others.

due to the fact that in a normal stance you are leaning forward a little and while skiing you want to be in an anthletic stance so you will be putting more weight on your toes not your heels, mount em center

yeah i mean my last ski was an invader, and of course they are a true twin and factory recommended for center, but. i loved centered skis.. i mean is there any real advantage to mounting them back in terms of park? i can't think of any

yeah but you'd need even more weight to get that same butter since your farther back, i feel like the two would just cancel each other out?

at lest -15.  Maybe as far back as -20 for all mountain.

Thing is that tip and tail rockers aren't quite equal on Alphas, so i measured my 182s and figured out, that recommended mounting point at -2,5 is recommended for a reason - it's just an actual center of the ski running length or whatever it's called. So it was actually between -2,5 or -5 for me since i don't really want tails that long (longer then tips) and i went -2,5 for tips of these skis appeared to be quite a bit stiffer than i expected, so they won't wash out on switch landings.
So i'd say it's either -2,5 for park or -5 for AM if you ever decide to ride these all mountain.
