Aloha once again I am off to a land I know not much about. To all those who know and think they know whistler-blackcomb area I need the local beta. Is there any land close to the resorts(whistler-blackomb) to post up my winter structure to live in peace from the law? Any suggestions for other work besides a resort? any other resort to work for? email me with nthe scoop grtfulearthsky@gmail.com

a few days ago i picked up a hitchhiker who lived in a handmade shack on the other side of alta lake. i don't know what your structure is but there are plenty of woods to camp in. but there is also alot of bears.

as for living...its possible..i dont know about close to anything though.. stack got caught but in the summmer when he wasnt at his hut... good luck man!

if you're looking to be a hippie ski bum whistler is the wrong place, if you're looking to be a hipster, ride an awesome park and party whistler is the place. Look into Nelson, Revelstoke and Golden if you want good snow, less crowds and more laid back towns.

Screw that man grouse and Cypress are lame, if you want to hit up some serious skiing check out Revelstoke and Kickinghorse. They have the best terrain and there both relatively new (especially revy) which would make it way easier to live in the woods or whatever you do. This is of course under the assumption that your not set on the coast.Also as far as i know whistler is supposed to be as busy as normal or even less than this winter excluding the time the olympics are around

I met a guy from Quebec who lived in an abandonned snowcat near Base 2. He came to Whistler without knowing where to stay, he didn't find anything so he slept in that snowcat. My friends and I hooked him up with a guy we knew who lived in some kind of ghetto place in Function Junction (lol).

Good advice. If you want the best of both worlds, live in one of these places for the season, then go to Whistler for Telus Fest for a week or two at the end of the year.
