Backyard Setup

Hey everyone,

Just finished my design for my backyard jib, which i will be building this weekend and hopefully finishing up later next week as i just ordered the HDPE plastic for the top.

Anyways, i would like some feedback on the design before i go out and buy all the shit for it tommorow at home depot. The plan is to make it 16' ft long, 2 ft across and 1 ft high. The runup will be made from lattice plastic fencing and the landing out of astroturf. It will look like the following:

1) join the cult: Build-a-jib 101
2) Post your designs and questions in there
3) make sure your metal pipe on the edges isn't sticking out abouve the level of the HDPE, it should be a bit below... (metal edges aren't even really necessary imho)

The pipe on the side is actually pvc, and it will be about 1/4th inch below the plastic.

if ur talking about like the orange construction fencing for ur run in, you will want it just for the down drop and part of the flat.  it will work on the jump but its better to have an astro turf jump, becuase u can put  lil bit of an edge on the astro turf, as to where on the fencing u have no grip and ur skis will want to skwirm out to the sides and stuff.

i bought the hdpe from usplastic.com.

And i finished the box, took about 5 hours with one of my friends helpin out. its identical to the model i drew up before hand. 16 ft long, 2 ft wide, 1.2 high. Going to drill down the coping tommorow and then i have to wait for the HDPE to arrive, ill screw it down and start skiing.

Ill take some pics of the box tommorow, its pretty dope. Takes about 3 people to lift and move it successfuly.
