If you have ever worn Smith I/Os...

I made the switch from crowbars to the i/o's. I like them more than my crowbars because 1.no one at my hill has i/o's 2.they fir me better(smaller/less pinching), yet have the same if not more peripheral vision 3.they look better then the crowbar 4.And I think they are making a type of fir iridium for next year, just search bar smith or smith 2010, theeres a big thread on all next years smith stuff.

I've got them, but I haven't worn them yet. They fit me real nice, no one has them, but no one really has crowbars either. I want that fire iridium like lens though, I've got platinum mirror and sensor mirror, but neither of them are anything like fire irid.

collin collins had a super dark lense on his i/os but there next years so perhaps a dark lense will some out next year.

There is a new lens coming out next year by Smith called Red Mirror that will be available for the I/O

I can't recommend the I/Os enough, amazing fit as I find the Crowbar too narrow.  The field of vision is larger than most anything without looking retarded like the EG2s IMO.  The biggest selling point for me was the airflow that is constantly there when I tested the original set of them, no fogging.  I have 3 pairs of I/Os if that says anything...

I have the gold mirror sol-x in my phenoms and they are definitely darker than fire iridium, the vlt for gold mirror sol-x is 7% so thats reaaal dark.

they are great. wait til next years line with the new lenses. i think that the lens tommy is wearing above will be for the io as well

My problem with the crow bars was the fact that if you ever got snow up above the lens, it would melt and leave a waterline in between...Smith fixed this by making it a sealed lens...Amazing! One story that really made the difference for me was we had a 2ft of fresh day at Alta and it was really cold out...we would get so much snow that would freeze on the outside of our goggles that it would become impossible to see half way through the run, I kept an extra lens in my pocket, so we my lens froze i'd swap it...it took 30 seconds and while I skiied with that lens the other lens would unfreeze in my jacket, so I'd switch on my way back up...everyone else was having serious issues....

smith is coming out with polorized lense's next year which is gonna be sick

As I stated above, the Red Mirror lens will be available for the I/O next year.
