I live where there is absolutely nothing to do, so tonight we went out to the casino where there is also a horse race track. You are allowed to bet on horses at the age of 18, but if you are just there to watch it doesn't matter what age you are. I was with a group of about 9 kids and three of them were under 18. I have literally never been carded there until tonight. We went into the place where you use a machine to place bets it was me and another 18 year old and an underage kid. As we walk out a lady asks to see id but my friends did not hear her. So i show her mine and she says send your friends back in. So i tell them but only the 18 year old goes in. And she tells him to send the other kid in. After five minutes of us sitting outside she comes out looking for that kid who has changed shirts and taken his hat off by this point. She could not find him for about ten minutes. When she finally finds him she asks for his id he gives it to her but says he did not place a bet. She says that he is in big trouble if he did so they pull up security camera footage. Then she checks my id again I got very aggitated with this lady by this point. I said wouldn't it be your fault if an underage kid bought a ticket because you didn't card him. That hit an artery and she started going off on me. I strike back with why don't you get a better job than working security at a very lowroller casino in the middle of pa.(Mind you she was in her 40s) She went off about how her husband is a cop and makes over a hundred grand a year(like i even care). Then she ranted about how I need to respect my elders and i said I respect people who don't treat my age group like a bunch of hoodlums. They come back out and say that it was not him but a kid wearing a hat and different shirt.
Sorry for how long it was but i was just wondering is it really his fault or there's because they didn't id him before he placed a bet?
Sparknotes: Went to a horse racing track and friend almost got in trouble for betting underage.
