District 9 looks sick!!

absoultly loved it begining to end.  action was good, plot was sick.  now all i have to wait for is inglorious bastards

awesome idea for a movie. i guess it only cost like 30 million to make. i loved the whole movie and was not a let down at all.

Just saw it tonight, def a sick movie. I'd recommend everyone giving it a view.

The really sad thing is that all the fantasy discrimination toward the aliens in the movie Actually happened in S. Africa to HUMAN BEINGS for hundreds of years and similar situations still exist ALL OVER THE WORLD.

Just saw the movie and this man is exactly right, you would do well to listen to him, and the reason you can't glean that from the trailer is because, well, the general population are fucking idiots just want to see some shit blow up.

I really liked this movie, the special effects were well done and the underlying societal message wasn't overdone or forced upon you and the movie allowed you to make your own assessment of the situation.

A couple of issues I had with the plot though.

1) When and how did they learn to communicate?

2)If the Prawns could use their weapons why where they so oppressed? Couldn't they just use their technology to get what they wanted?

3) Nothing seamed to be done to the mother ship. It just came back to life after he returned to it. Did the liquid he collected power the mother ship and if so why didn't they just leave whenever?

4) Communication seamed to be easy with the Prawns, why didn't they know how they got there or anything about their technology?

5) Why didn't they study the giant flying mother ship? Maybe they did but it seamed like no one had ever been on it despite when they made first contact.

6) It seamed like most of the Prawns were pretty retarded. Did the higher up more intelligent Prawns die or go some where, why couldn't they answer any questions?

Well the sixth one answers practically all your questions, they said that the prawns that lived in D9 were all basically a mindless labor force, all except christopher johnson.

ya but why was he so smart?

remeber in the beginning of the movie when the piece fell from the ship?
that was the alien craft that Christopher hid under his shack, it was the command thing for the mothership, Christopher was probably the captain, why he felt so obligated to rescue his people

my bro said this movie is kinda like cloverfield.

but i think its gunna be sweet

ah gotcha, but I still don't understand why they could not tell them what happened. It seamed like communication was pretty easy.

I am going to have to see this again I was way too high the first time around.
