I'm torn...

I have a serious dilemma, here's the scenario.

My cousin called me about a week ago asking me to be a groomsman at his wedding, which is taking place this Friday. He is getting married to a girl who is 19 (I think he's 24), and they have a baby together who is about 6 months old. One problem is that he told me about the wedding on pretty late notice, so plane tickets are maaad expensive (SLC).

Im torn because I have a two jobs, and flying out would force me to miss 3 days of work from both jobs, and I just got back from 6 days of vacation.

The wedding is very small, and I would know probably know only about 5 people there (all family, and my cousins older sisters fiancee).

I am soooo torn on whether or not I should go,

Help me out, should I go or no?

the price of the plane ticket is not an issue really
Im more torn on the fact that I heard about the wedding on such short notice

my cousin and i are really close too

also, the wedding is more out of the fact that my cousin and his fiancee had a baby a coupe months back....as bad as that sounds

if i were you i would just call and talk to your cousin.  and tell him about it.  if you really can't go just  tell him if he would have told you earlier you could have came.

shit tough, you already missed 6 days of vaca but it might be an important day for him but getting married only because he got her pregnant is not love - thats obligation. your call man, id just tell him the truth and say if you knew sooner you would go

If I were in the same situation, I probably wouldn't go. Some factors in life are pretty powerful parameters with bad ramifications, such as money and work, and with such a short notice, that puts a big burden on you. A few days to deal with employers and a plane ticket is rough business.

this is more of an opinionated statement from my personal view on it, but I could be wrong, as I havent heard anything like this from the rest of the family, or otherwise...
