Sponsorship

Best way is to email specific companies asking them what you need to do. Usually it involved at least a "sponsor me tape" Go to your local shops and talk with the head of the ski shop about it. Try to get in contact with your local reps for ski companies and talk to them too.

if you manage to ride for a local shop they will probably ask you to enter a couple competitions and rep their store... they will most likely just give you free gear (or flow or whatever you want to call it)

companies want people who will rep their stuff good, not who are just good at skiing. so make sure you mention something like that in your email, and be sure to address them personally as if they are the only ones you are interested in getting sponsored by

meeting up w/ local reps at stores and big sales never hurts, get to know em in person, not just through the internet

its all about promoting yourself to the companies. what can you do for them, and what have you done in the past that makes you worth it? there are literally hundreds of skiers out there that are better than you that are more deserving of sponsorships than you, yet they have none, so if you really want to be sponsored, you really need to show how you are different. video, resume, results, they all help to market yourself. also, being good helps as does knowing a ton of people. you could probably get proform easy, flow maybe, but dont expect more than the bare minimum from a company... you arnt pro and you arnt winning the xgames, so dont expect to be flown around the globe and swimming in free gear.

so ya, let them know your not just sick at skiing and that you are an outgoing and talkative person who would be a good influence towards your fellow skiers in terms of where or what they will purchase next?

have a good attitude. It's help a lot!! Compagnie usualy doesn't like when their rider get angry by not land a trick or whatever.

that and do kinda lame stuff that really helps the store. you know like if someone asks about you skis say, yeah there ________ made by ______ and I got them at this shop______.

its overrated...just ski to ski and that shit will come to you

just do what you have to do to get your name out there,if your devoted enought to skiing sponsorship will come eventually,just be patient.
