So I work at a beachfront Hilton hotel. We have 275 rooms. Today we have 63 arrivals and 111 dirty rooms. People are stacking up at the front desk, since we don't have rooms ready for them to check into. One lady threatened to punch the speedy check-in girl if she checked someone in before her. This is all going on in the lobby, and I'm in a cubicle in the back office. I would help, but 1) I'm the switchboard operator, so every call that the hotel recieves comes to me first, otherwise they would go to the already-swamped front desk, and 2) that's the ONLY thing I'm trained to do. I do feel bad about NSing while everything is going to hell up front, but really all I can do wait for calls to come in.
Sparknotes: Shit's blowing up and there's not a damn thing I can do about it!!
So basically i was wondering if anybody else has had days like this where crazy stuff is going on around you that doesn't really affect you personally
