we should have a fat tax

Reasons
-fat people stress the shit out of our health care system - you are 100% guaranteed health complications if you are obese
-fat people have a larger carbon footprint (more food = more transportation, growing land, etc)
-fat people are an eyesore (j/k....but no seriously)
-maybe a tax would make them loose weight

note: this is only about half serious so don't shit all over me. In all seriousness though we really need to start doing something to address the obesity pandemic that the US is currently in

haha, thanks for the good laugh.  Yeah, my brother is overweight and it is bad because my Grandpa had heart attacks, so it is in my bro's blood and we are worried, he's 12, but he doesn't realize how much he's fucking himself over.  It's sad that so many people are so lazy, it really is.

Yeah, while I am watching that and wanting to laugh, another part makes me sad inside.  The fact that these people get discriminated against so much and made fun of, makes me really sad.  To see any hate, whether it is racism, insults, any kind of discrimination makes me sad.  The skatepark scenes are the ones that made me the most sad, the  the one with the paintball gun is just fucking pathetic, grow up, really.

I totally agree that discrimination of any sort is downright wrong

That being said, I think it's total bullshit that it's socially acceptable to talk to a friend who smokes cigs about quitting and helping them to do so, but if you were to do the same thing to a fat person it would be "degrading" or "wrong" or something. I just don't see why. Obesity is more harmful than smoking (if you smoke you've got a what...a 50% chance of cancer but if you're fat you have a 100% chance of a whole cocktail of diseases), so it should be a publicly acceptable thing to talk about.

goddamn i was a fat kid when i was little.  hated it, everyone always making fun of me, not being able to go do things because of weight.  it sucked the big one, but now i am jacked as fuck with my rock hard 6pack and am no longer picked on.  all those years of people making fun of me and talking shit about me made me do something about it.

i can't stand fat people, just they are so goddamn lazy, boring, and it is pathetic that you don't do anything about it. It is such an easy problem to deal with yet they do nothing. They make me want to leave america. I hate going to big grocery stores because i feel weird when i am one of the few skinny people in there, it is just so sad that people are so lazy.

If spend any time in health care you will go insane. Type 2 diabetes (the kind you get from being fat) causes neuropathy - nerve damage, which not only causes loss of feeling in the extremities, but eventually leads to wasting of the muscles of the feet and hands, so they have to have toes, fingers, even legs removed....and this is a totally preventable disease. It's literally brought upon oneself and can nearly vanish if significant weight loss and fitness are regained but apparently they would rather loose limbs than do on a real diet, not to mention the long list of other little delights they get to experience. Have fun with that bypass surgery Jimbo! 

Oh and the whole "I'm genetically predisposed to gaining weight"....no. People do not exceed their natural BMI's on a 2000 calorie diet, so this is a completely retarded argument. The only thing they may be predisposed to is a love of fattening foods to the point point of excess. Additionally, losing weight is a pretty easy task. As long as you are hungry most of the time you loose weight. If you are full most of the you gain weight. Exercise speeds this process up. Pretty freaking simple. Sorry, I'm just annoyed from volunteering at a rural (read: primarily obese patients) clinic in Wyoming for the past month....well that and teen pregnancies....

there are 2 types of fat people.... fat people coz they lazy motherfuckers who just sit down doing nothing and eating a shit ton of food and getting fat.... and then there are the fat people with heriditory problems, which dont have as much of a choice about their weight...
I will laugh at the lazy mother fuckers who are fat coz they cant be arsed not to be, its their fault, and i have no sympathy... i especially hate fat children, and more so their parents, how can you let a kid get fat!
however i feel sorry for people who are fat but cant help it, whether they have heart problems or whatever, i cant laugh at them
