i usually think about my output when i pick recording mode. 30p if im shooting something for the internet, 60i if im shooting for dvd. I never shoot 24p, its just too much work
what i've done is 30p cine mode, that seems to have worked best for me, but the default option works okay, be sure to have it set on manual focus cuz i let a timelapse sit on autofocus and you know how theres like a little blindspot of either side of the view finder you can't see until you import, well a moored sailboat kept blowing into my frame and it was a continual wrecking of the focus and i just had to stop the timelapse cuz it was getting out of hand
