Daulton perceives lots of things that aren't conventionally "there." His beliefs
are an eclectic hodgepodge of metaphysics, numerology, time travel and
even occasional references to the Christian God and Jesus.
Specifically,
he believes people with transcendent understanding of all this will
ascend to earth at the conslusion of the Mayan calendar (11:11 a.m.
Dec. 21, 2012) and then move to a new plane of existence.
"I've never been a real religious person," he said. "I do strive for spirituality.
"I learn something new every day, but by no means is it easy.
"Think of all the movies you've seen in your life, even horror movies, whatever. You get to experience all of them."
I don't know what that last part, about the movies, means either.
"It can get pretty bizarre," he admitted. "That's when you go get the cooler and sit in the corner."
my plan is to move to canada deep in the forest and have a house there stocked with guns and food and water. then, when people come to me for supplies i blow thir fucking heads off. its gonna be just like i am legend minus the crazy zombie guys.
The only thing that is even moderately within chance is that global warming will reach the "tipping point," causing crops to fail worldwide and a global famine to ensue. Worst case scenario the world population drops from 6 billion to 1 billion (with the most heavy losses in poor, 3rd world countries). Lots of tribal warfare, land issues, etc. Crop failure is well documented in scientific journals as a possible outcome of a minute increase in temp and is already being seen in some areas. Definitely my bet on what 2012 "change" is all about...
