that happened to me too so i quit trying to upload it for a couple of days and then mysteriously it appeared

try ckicking refresh on your browser right after you upload it

what happens is your browser 'caches' it (i.e saves a copy in your local memory). Why does it do this? you may ask, but tid oes so that everytime you visit a page with that image on it it doesnt have to download it again but simply load it from the local memory.

Wheny uo upload an icon you areoverwriting your old one so the browser thinks it is the same image so doesn't bother to download it again. However if you hold controla nd press refresh you are forcing the browser to download everything again. If you do this then it should sort your problem out nicely.
