SFB vs Ruby

I want to buy some pow skis but i'm on east coast and as you know there's not powder every day...  So wich one is the best for me. Line SFB or Moment Ruby 188.  Thanks

No 6 cm.. And i love medium flex ski. Not to soft because i'm not doing 100% Powder so I need a responsive ski.. .I'm going to ski at Jay Peak.. a lot of tight tree!

boy i know ma shit ive measured them several times 178 cm from tip to tail
line sucks at measuring all of their skis

but im 6'2" and they feel a little short but not bad at all

and imo theyre not that stiff and ideal for trees

i own them by the way

becuase i have the SFB and they are great on powder and groomed

but since you like a midstiff ski then get the rubys they are good too

I didn't find SFBs exciting at all(my opinion, though).  Also note that with its taper(LINE taper, meaning a few inches and barely gets skinnier) the effective edge on groomers is shortened.  Oh and both these skis are on the medium/soft side if I remember right.  Get 190 Rubies over 188, they are still not too stiff.  Better yet, get S7s.

OK the stiffness is the only difference? And i'm like 5'11 does 188-190 is too big?

Nah, when I was 5'10" I was on 194s and I was under 160lbs.  The 190s are just a little straighter(2mm?) and a bit stiffer.  Go to TGR/Tech Talk/Ski Review Links Thread/ Moment  and you can look at reviews of the 190 and 188.

190 Rubies would be way too much ski for the east coast. 186 Bibby would be a better option.

the SFB comes in a 182 and a 172, not 178.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing.. but B-runge is pretty sure that the real size is 178 and I want a ski taller than me...

ive measured em before but im not sureeee.

but they are the same size as my friends 178 anthems
i think 178 anthems and invaders(rip) are actually measured correctly

Bacons are in fact smaller then 182 and measure more less 178.
