Please help! ...with vx2000 firewire...

so i just recently got the sony vx2000 camera, and love it. i ordered a firewrire for it and all i got was a usb cord. i need a firewire to fit with the camera and my Gateway gamers P series fx edition notebook.

so can you guys help me out and find a firewire cord that will work with my gateway and vx2000.

If you have this series (P-7807u FX) then you have a firewire port on your computer. This cord should work http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812189107

Now Im not sure what you meant by I ordered a firewire and all I got was a USB.. Im guessing you meant you thought you ordered a firewire but instead ordered a usb cable.



BUT the real question is why are you rewinding on a Vx2k?

i have a vx2100 my dog chewed my good fire wire so i went to radio shack an got one for $ 30 u should look into that

i dont capture with my vx2000, i dont want to risk ruining the heads. just buy an old little cap cam off ebay. i just use my old gs80.

yeah good point. ive been thinking about a capture cam, anyone got one for under like 45 bucks with cords and all?!
