Rumors are starting to circulate about Tom riding for Scott skis. The truth is that Tom is now riding for Burton. The reason to him riding Scott skis is that Burton and Scott have had a long term company relationship. To keep the "hype" down to a minimum, Scott offered up their graphics to conceal the fact that he is indeed riding the first ever Burton prototype skis. Tom has been reported saying,

"I'm stoked to be riding for this great company (Burton)! I know how much they've supported and done for snowboarding and I can imagine that they will do the same for skiing."

The new Burton skis called the, hyphy sticks (a working title), are due to be on display at SIA 2010 in Boulder, Co.

did you guys remembered that anon,aka burton drop all of there ski team cause the owner of burton didnt want any f**king skier part of burton ???
if this id true, this is stupid...
like where did you guys were the last 15 years of free skiing? now that there some money to make out of we are interested???

scott and burton? the only relationship i could see would be if scott is making anon goggles. but with anon's first goggle (figment) looking more like a smith fuse than anything else, i would highly doubt it.

i cant believe that

1. you didnt know pros have a facebook/myspace/twitter because its good for conecting with fans (read mike douglases how to be pro or whatever that he did at the jib academy finals)

2. its pretty common to ask someone if theyre really participating in a sport changing event.

1.  Pros have facebook because they are normal people.  No one created an account so they could get annoyed by a bunch of NS kids all day.

2.  It's gotta be REALLY annoying when kids message you on facebook asking you about a retarded rumor on NS that only the most gullible people would entertain as fact.

i also heard that DC SNOWBOARDING is turning into DC SNOWBOARD & SKI...

DC should have a whole new line of ski boots out next year with the BOA lacing system I cant wait!!!

Maybe this is the beginning of the future. Scott and burton will merge togeather, and a hybrid sport between skiing and snowboarding will be developed. I wonder what they will call it? Monoski? Only time will tell.
