so my freind thought it would be funy to lock me out of my ipod a couple of days ago but he forgot the password he used.  after about 20 attempts to enter the password it said connect to itunes.  i did.  but i still can't get into it.  i googled, youtubed, searchbarred ect and i found one video that said i had to restore it.  i tried that and itunes said i need the newest version of itunes. i download it, click restore and this message that says "The ipod software update could not be connected.      make sure your network settings are correct and your network conection is active or try again later."   so i'll take any help and give +++++K to anyone that give any type of help. thanks ns

What version of itunes are you running and what version of the ipod touch software are you using?

You should be able to connect your ipod to itunes, hold both ipod buttons down for ~10 seconds which will put it into recovery mode and you can restore from that.

Ok, try plugging it into your computer with the usb cable. Search up how to put your itouch in DFU mode on either youtube or google or whatever this should return it to its factory settings. Try this see if it works......

i just download itunes 8.2 and i have 2.2.1 softwear and i tried it and the same message showed up again tho
