Replying to read me

The bottoms of my skis are blue and then i come home after a hard day of skiing they have whiteish wax build-up??? is it from riding on ice? or i dont know. I usally use a rub on wax before i go. I have hot waxed them myself once. How can i get this stuff off?? is it bad?? How can i prevent it in the future?
I know there have been many posts about hot waxing but they are all differnt and it never really says a good for sure way. Heres how I do it:
1.Clean bases
2.Drip wax on with iron
3.Go over bases with iron
4.Scrap all off
5.Rub on wax the cork
