Help! Are these skis fixable???

Hey guys I need some help so any tips or advice would be unbelievably appreeciated (++K as well). So i tried out a pair of my buddies AR6s last year and had to buy some for this new season.

So I found a pair for really cheap with a pretty good *ding* on the edge and was explained that it could just be "hammered down and epoxied pretty easy." Also I was told the edges are pretty round but there aren't any edge cracks.

I don't know anything about how to repair dings or edges like these and how it would effect the usability of the ski later so PLEASE help me out with info so I dont buy these and end up screwed. Also if it is repairable how much do you think it would be if i took it to a shop?

sorry, can't say that I can help, im sure a shop could fix about anything, but it would take some $$$ and if they couldn't fix it....well that would suck, good luck with em'

a shop will use a hammer and epoxy just to put it back straight. should be pretty easily fixable, esp. since there's no crack.

Any good shop should be able to fix that fairly easily.  From the looks of it, they'll probably cut out the base material that is separating, hammer the edge back into place, Epoxy the edge, base-weld and metal grip the section of base that was cut out.

I'm guessing around $60 for the repair.

yeah, just go to a shop you know is good.  Some will do it for really cheap, too.
  And I don't recommend buying anything that is not new in box from geartrade in the future, haha.

As others have said, a good shop can fix it. They will cut the base away, bend the edge back, and anchor the edge with tiny screws. Then some epoxy and a baseweld, and grind the bases flat.

make sure u trust the shop doing it too, ive seen some pretty crappy repairs done in the past

Be careful with this one Armadas are usually pretty durable so the fact that something like that happened should be a little bit of a red flag. Ak the guy how it happened and if he'll fix it for you. It's not worth it to buy broken skis even if they are cheap.
