What is the most respected activity in your town?

For my town (Waconia Minnesota) it is marching band. We are the best band in Minnesota, which means we are one of the best in the nation. I am in the drumline and play snare. After we won what would be the state championship for marching bands, we had a entourage of cars behind us that followed us all throughout the town and it was sick! in my town Baseball is by FAR the most respected activity... and for a town of 600 people our field has 1.6m worth of work put into it... super nice.

In my town there's two: cheer/stunt team and the waterski show team. The state waterski show is held in my town for Wisconsin and sometimes even nationals, and its like the biggest weekend of the year here because so many people come for it.

Oddly our wrestling team has been D1 high school for like 30 years on and off a few years but no one cares. It's never in the paper we'll just hear it on the radio that they won again.

Football. When I was in high school our team only lost like 6 games all four years I was there and a couple of state championships.

Definitely Hockey, and Figure skating is right behind it. I guess we love hockey because were canadian, and have a provincial team but other than that i don't know why it has so much respect. most of the hockey players that play for the provincial team go to the same highschool as me, and alot (not all) of them are dumb as fuck, like they should have graduated, but are still in grade 10 english, getting help from grade 10's for example. but whatever, i really have nothing to do with them so i dont really care. its the same with the figure skaters though, we have some program that like breeds olympic skaters so they come from all over canada, but alot of hot figure skating girls come, so im not complaining about that lol.

Hockey for sure. Its extremely popular among everyone here (winnipeg, manitoba, canada). For summer though, its skateboarding hands down.

in filderstadt, germany it's obviously (it's europe) fuckin soccer which i never played and never will cuz it's really lame (1 out of 100 games is kinda interesting)...

but definetely the 2nd most respected activity is drinking a lot of beer in bars which i regularly partake in ;)

Hahaha

I won't like, drum lines are sick as fuck. I was totally into the marching band in high school (colourguard, fml) because it was a good time & great adventures. The drum lines always got me though...sooo awesome. The competitions were the best too. Loved traveling for those.

Our most respected sport is hockey, and most of the hockey players are huge douches.  Even the ones that I consider my friends are kinda dickheads, just not to me.

what town?? im on a showski team in illinois and we go to nationals every year... last year it was wisconsin rapids, this year its in rockford.

the most respected thing is football here only because its such a small town and everyone is at the school for the friday night lights
