Friend requests

i think itd be sick to have friend requests so youd know who wants to be your friend. kind of like FACEBOOK! jokes but really friend requests would be cool and not gay facebooky at all.

I'm cool with the way it is I guess. The system works fine for me. Why fix something that isn't broke. I'd rather see NS stay away from myspace and facebook type things.

No too keen on that idea. Its just something else to clutter up your inbox. Pros and alike would be getting requests up the wa-zoo, whereas right now kids can just add them and stalk them without annoying them. I really don't care who has me on their friends list, because I honestly only care about my own? Yep.

I've seen so many people want the site more like Facebook in the past week, haha. 

I like the system now, because when I buy/sell with someone, I always add them as a friend so I have easy access to their account and once I'm done, I just click remove friend.

ya i sketch out some people by adding them as friends but it's just so i can look at their pics and vids and stuff, like for example i added NPG as a friend because his pov vids and pics are teh secks but i don't even know him

i dont think a friend request is that much of a tedious thing to sort, and i dont think it would change the number of adding you as a friend for most people. yeah it would probably get annoying for staff and pros, but i don't know, i think it might be the same in the end when you add a friend to send a request, as opposed to being like "hey, im adding you to my list" if anyone cares.

i'll just sum up and say, i don't think it's a bad idea.

maybe if we got like a pm saying (insert ns username) just added you as a friend. but you don't accept or ignore a request, you can just add people freely, but you can keep track of the people adding you as a friend.

maybe the people that you add should be the only people that can see your contact details

the people you haven't added see everything bar the contact stuff

then it stops all this spamming thats going on now

I have never had a problem with my contact information. I don't make my email or anything like that public. If someone really wants to have my contact info, I am only a private message away.

And to the person above you...wanting a PM system like that is cool and all, it still creates and unnecessary message which to me is spamming in itself.

I think if this were to be a feature, it should defdef be optional. Instead of friend requesting someone, its "Add me if you wish!" because I just don't care who's list I'm on. Again, I only care about my own.

95% of us have facebook...use it. Don't make NS more like fb.

I'm sure the pros get a ton of pms from kids on here anyways asking  if they will be friend's with them.

But anyways, as mentioned above, I think its a good idea to have a message sent to you that "so and so" made you his friend and then you can either make them your friend or ignore it.

#1 facebook is kind of teh suck
#2 maybe an option to disable or enable this requests system.
#3 i dont think it's spam, it doesn't taste like it and it's not selling me anything.

or what about making an option to see who has friended you? you dont have to turn anything off, if you want to see if people are adding you, click and get shown who has added you as a friend.

but i think this should be considered, and i don't see it cluttering up your PM's that much, cause if you average like 15 PM's a day or something, and people add you on average once every 2-3 days...? i don't think that would be that big of a deal, getting a PM saying _____ has added you as a friend. it helps you keep track of who's adding you.

i do think this should be considered. i mean, i don't make too many friends on here (obviously), but there's the odd occasion when i've looked at somebody's profile and noticed that they've added me as a friend, and i'm sure this happens to other members too. it would be nice to at least be notified when somebody does this, so you can add them back as well.
