just got a new macbook pro, and im starting to get into photography. i know that aperture isn't an editing program but is a pretty solid organizational program, at least compared to iPhoto. so should i get both aperture and photoshop, or say screw aperture and just go with PS?
then i got lightroom which is teh secks, you get full hands on photoshop editing so all you need Ps for is pixel pushing and stuff like that. lightroom basically takes aperture and multiplies it by 10000
i'm pretty baffled by numerous posts in this thread, ha. aperture IS an editing program. you must not have delved very deep into it if you got the impression it wasn't. chase jarvis edits with aperture.. google him if you're not familiar with his work. he fucking slays.
and i'm a former user of lightroom 2 and i fucking hated it. i made the switch to aperture and never, ever looked back. it is way better than lightroom for me. there's really no right or wrong tho. find whatever works for you and run with it.
