not to hate, and i know where you're coming from, but oakley is way more mainstream than scott, yes i realize that scott makes hard and soft goods for skiing, they make top-tier bikes (team columbia-htc), soft goods for moto and snowmobiling, but they are not as mainstream as oakley. Scott is not a leader in any of the sports they represent.
Oakley is the standard for sunglasses; they have huge teams and the best athletes in almost any sport and more people wear casual oakley sunglasses then you can count.
Here's the debate on mainstream; ask any north american or european, or even asian what oakley is, and i bet 7/10 people will recognize the name or logo.
do the same for scott and you'll get maybe 2 people out of 10, maybe.
also, their was an interview of HH awhile back, he said he didn't care about money, claiming he didn't know how much he made and that his dad was in contract talks with salomon, scott and ninthward... i mean, i don't know if salomon would give him a pro model, they've only given them to CR and dumont and i just don't know if HH is at that level yet.
