He's not only rocking a pair of Oakleys in the edit but also on the swedish freeskiing forum freeride.se some guys say that he has signed for Oakley! truth or not is the question but do we really care?

this really hasn't been settled yet? he was online a couple hours ago, i checked his sponsors and one was Oakley. Scott was not listed. /thread

good for henrik and for those of you sarcastically saying this is a big deal, well yes it actually is a big deal. Oakley is major sponsor towards the ski industry, they have a strong team and a shitload of reps (6 reps just in the state of Colorado) and they are also one of the biggest sponsorship companies toward the industry for a company that does not produce Hardgoods (for those who dont know -skis, boots, etc). From their sunglasses to their goggles to their golf goods ( they now make golf shirts and golf shoes), Oakley is a big deal. Congrads again Mr. Harlaut.

it's old news.  he is starting his own goggle company.
put "ynique" into the searchbar, or google, for more info.


i personally think that they are SICK, but definitely targeting a different audience, at 300 euros a pair.

sort of. the prototypes also dont have the full quality lense in them that will be in the production version. they arent shatterproof therefore he could take a gate to the face and lose an eye when little shards of lens go flying everywhere. obviously not something he wants, so he wears the oakleys still to race. but for freeskiing, where hitting your face on something hard enough to shatter them is less likeley, its all good to wear the yniques

So is it possible that he may drop the salomon sponsor two? i'm just throwing that out there because nobody has said it yet. i have always found it strange that he is sponsored by salomon, primarily a SKI company, but uses ninthward skis. Just a thought.

No, he is under a contract with Ninthward, and thusfor can't sign with Salomon for everything.  So he currently rides their boots, bindings, and outterwear.  I bet he'll sign with them completely when his ninthward contract is up.

first off oakley is not more ""mianstream"" than scott in any way. Scott is a huge fucking company that produces apparel and hard goods in many sports, not just skiing.

secondly oakley makes much much better goggles.

Did i say he was going to stay with Salomon? I was just wondering what was going to happen with that deal because i always found it odd that he used ninthward skis and salomon clothing. And i would seriously hope he doesnt drop the ninthward sponsor when his contract ends because i really like him on ninthward. Just like Amplid and Tod Wallinuts. I would really hate to see tom leave Amplid. Kind Of the Same Deal.
