the filming and editing was really sick but i wouldnt say they shitted on us. All the skiing trailers i've seen have been equaly good

enough with the segregation. i think you need to stop looking at a trailer and saying ooo that was way better than that ski trailer i saw or man the ski trailer kicked that boarding movies ass. we all ride the same white stuff and we all love it. i think you a skier should look at a board trailer and say woah that was sick and a boarder should look at a ski trailer and so woah that was sick without comparing the sport with each other. i mean ya one movie can be better than another but enough with the comparing of the sports. they are both the best sports in the world END OF STORY

Except very few snowboarders respect skiing as year after year we mimic their trends.

In particular, urban wall rides have been the big thing for the last two years in snowboard films and lo and behold they're everywhere this year in skiing Trailers.

the riding seem to be on about the same level as all the skiing trailers i've seen. You do have to admire the creativity of the actual trailer though, very sick

The riding was pretty much equal like all have said, but I absolutely loved the part where they were in space and the helicopter shots in the beginning.  I liked the trailer idea A LOT.

I am older than most here.  My winters consist of going to Mammoth three weekends a month or so.  I get about 35-40 days a year.  I lived in Tahoe between(and during) college and grad school, spent 5 winters at Squaw.  I never saw much of a rivalry there.  Any snowboarder who talked shit on the skiers at Squaw would have to be an idiot.  "We dominate the urban scene."  Sweet one buddy, the skiers are dominating the Palisades.  The rivalry there really was not all that big.  I was never once asked the "how come you don't snowboard" question.  Even spending my weekends at Mammoth I don't get that.  My days are spent on the upper mountain, or chair 22.  Boarders are definitely not blowing us away in the zones.  There are some rippers, sure, but there are also many skiers throwing down.  Anyone who thinks snowboarders are ruling skiers in these zones is blind.

There are elements where skiers are well ahead of snowboarders.  We can charge down steep faces faster, handle bigger cliffs, and billygoat better.  Snowboarders might be ahead of us in the urban scene(I would not really know, and don't care) but there are many elements of tearing up mountains where we are clearly on top. 

Snowboarders are ahead of us in terms of spines, because they can powerslide them.  Actually, no, that is really just Jeremy Jones.  That is changing with rockered skis.  There are certain elements where skis have an advantage, such as speed and landing huge cliffs, and some where snowboarders have advantages.  Spines(although, like I said, that is mainly J.Jones) and landing backwards come to mind.  But to say that one sport is way ahead of the other is simply not true.  The designs of our tools yield advantages to certain sides in certain situations, but to say one side is simply ahead of the other is not true.

Skiing might be following in the park and urban facets of the sport, but go to freeride world tour dot com and watch some of the stuff there.  Skiing big lines in dicy conditions, the skiers are doing more than the snowboarders, though I will not take anytihng away from Xavier and the like as they are also sick.

Personally I will take performance in a venue like the bec de ross over doing a wall ride, but to each his own.

I did not see this trailer as particularly exciting.  Well put together, yes.  But the shots tended to be of the park/urban variety, not of the big mountain variety.

That was a horrible trailer
The intro took about 2/5th of the entire time, and the first actual trick wasn't until over halfway through the trailer.
That failed to get me stoked on anything except a few doubles and good filming.

how did that shit on us all it had was some generic space shots off star trek or sumthing? but then again it did have those Super sick shots of those land rovers treking up the mountain and some tasty shots on those boarders - if only those boarders were replaed with skiiers!

what skiiers want is a film that has beauty and epicness... claim was epic but wasn't quite this... now that trailer above was epic!

I liked both trailers and just to be analytical I will say, the first trailer (on the website) was more cinematic and thrilling, while lacking to showcase the diversity of the film, while the second trailer had the latter but lacked the first

I think they shat on themselves realy... how is this better than ski films? they have enough money to do followcams with a red one? they can afford to do some filler shots with helicopters? Im not impressed, I watch a ski film to watch skiing, not for high budget filming of trees and roads, I could care less about that crap.

To whoever said that skiers were copying wall rides. Get real. Most snowboarders can also skate. Skaters have been doing wall rides for years so it is only natural that the Skater/Boarders would do that in the winter. If anything someone should post a video of skateboarding and claim that it shitted on skiing. I'm going to go to a rock climbing forum now and claim that a skiing video shitted all over their sport...

It also evolved from skiing.

Do you remember the Jeremy Jones quote "Doug Coombs started what I do" from a few years ago?  Big mountain skiing took quite a bit of skiing to evolve, it was not just snowboarding, although snowboarding undoubtedly added quite a bit.
